What is EleoPay powered by Stripe?
EleoPay is Eleo’s new built-in payment processor, powered by Stripe, one of the most trusted names in online payments. It’s designed to make your fundraising easier, faster, and more flexible — all within Eleo.
When is EleoPay launching?
We’re expecting EleoPay to go live on November 5th, which is when it will officially replace Stripe as the payment processor for Eleo.
Connecting now ensures a seamless transition once the switch takes place and that your Eleo web forms that collect payments will remain active after launch.
What payment types can be accepted with EleoPay through my Eleo Web Forms?
You’ll now be able to accept:
Credit cards
ACH (bank transfers)
Apple Pay
Google Pay
Cash App
Amazon Pay
What is the processing rate?
Credit cards: 2.5% + 30¢ per transaction
ACH (bank transfers): 0.8% per transaction, capped at $5 per transaction
Is EleoPay powered by Stripe the same as Stripe?
Yes and no. EleoPay uses Stripe’s trusted payment infrastructure, but it’s a separate connection designed specifically for Eleo. This integration gives Eleo’s support team insight into your transactions so we can help you directly — without you needing to contact Stripe support.
All you’ll need are your Stripe account login credentials — the process only takes a few minutes.
You must have an active Stripe account to connect. If you do not currently have one, you can apply for an EleoPay powered by Stripe account directly in your Eleo Database under Site Settings → Integrations → Gateway Providers.
What if I’m not the person who manages our Stripe account?
Please reach out to the person at your organization who manages the Stripe login and inform them of this time-sensitive update regarding EleoPay powered by Stripe. Encourage them to complete the integration. Forward any EleoPay launch emails, instructions, or this webpage to that person. You or that team member can also contact the Eleo Support Team if you’d like assistance or have questions about connecting.
Will I be able to use the new EleoPay features right away?
Not until the official launch of EleoPay powered by Stripe, which is expected on November 5th. We’re giving Eleo clients time to connect to EleoPay so the transition happens smoothly.
Once EleoPay becomes active, you’ll have access to all the new payment options, and our team will be able to support you directly with any transaction questions. We’ll notify you as soon as this happens.
Will my forms continue to work during the transition?
Yes. Your web forms will continue to collect payments prior to November 5th, and Stripe will process donations until EleoPay becomes the active payment processor.
After the switch to EleoPay powered by Stripe, your forms will continue to work as long as you’ve completed the integration before the transition.
If you connect to EleoPay prior to the switch, your payment forms will remain active with no downtime.
Do I need to connect to EleoPay right away?
Yes. Connecting now is required to ensure your Eleo web forms continue collecting payments once EleoPay goes live on November 5th.
It only takes a few minutes to complete, and doing it early guarantees a smooth transition with no disruption to your web forms processing payments.
What if I don’t connect before November 5th?
After November 5th, your Eleo web forms will no longer be able to process payments until the connection to EleoPay powered by Stripe is completed.
Connecting now ensures no interruption to your fundraising and immediate access to EleoPay’s features when the switch happens.
How will I know when the official switch happens?
We’ll notify you by email with the official date and time of the transition. You’ll also receive step-by-step guides and reminders to make sure your connection is complete.

Organizations With a Stripe Account
If my Eleo database is already connected to Stripe, do I need to do anything?
The process is quick and straightforward. You’ll go to Site Settings in your Eleo database → Integrations → Gateway Providers → Connect Existing Stripe Account. Then follow the prompts to log into your Stripe account and authorize it’s connection with Eleo. Click here for step-by-step visual instructions.
Will my current Stripe setup still work when EleoPay launches?
Until November 5th, your current Stripe account will continue to process donations through your Eleo web forms until EleoPay officially becomes the active processor.
Because both systems are powered by Stripe, only one can be active in Eleo to process payments at any given time. Once the switch happens, all transactions will move automatically to EleoPay powered by Stripe.
Organizations Without a Stripe Account
I don’t currently have a Stripe account. How do I get started?
You can apply for EleoPay powered by Stripe directly in your Eleo Settings. You’ll go to Site Settings in your Eleo database → Integrations → Gateway Providers → Begin Stripe Account Onboarding. Our Support Team is happy to help you through the application process.

What type of support do I receive with EleoPay?
You’ll receive the same friendly, knowledgeable support team you already know from your Eleo database — now they’ll just have added insight into your EleoPay transactions and be able to assist you. Saving you time! And just like before, there’s no additional cost for support.
