How long does it take to learn Eleo?
Of course, everyone has a different learning curve, but with Help on every screen in the software, Built-in Library, personal training sessions, Email and Live Support, you will be up and running on Eleo in no time!
How do I get started with Eleo?
It’s easy! Just click to sign up for a free trial. Provide the name of your organization and the contact information, and Eleo will take it from there. Your database will be prepared within 1 business day.
Can nonprofits outside of the United States sign up for an Eleo database?
At this time, only nonprofits based within the United States can obtain an Eleo database.
How do I connect to Eleo Online?
If you have internet, you have Eleo! Using a PC, Mac or mobile device you can access all of your data in Eleo.
Can users access their Eleo Database from outside the United States?
Yes. Eleo is accessible to any user where there is internet.
What is the cost of using the software?
Eleo’s donor software for nonprofits starts at just $39 per month. Eleo is an affordable online software that charges a monthly fee for its use. The fee is based on the number of contacts you have in the system. The full fee schedule can be viewed here. At all levels, Eleo provides the same feature rich software for all your users.
Do I have to have Constant Contact or Mail Chimp?
No, Eleo does not require an integration with Constant Contact or Mail Chimp to create and send email communications out of the Eleo system. You can create an email mailing in Eleo and download the mailing list in excel or CSV format. The information can then be uploaded into any email platform of your choice.
Does the Free Trial include all Eleo features?
Yes, we want you to get the full experience! Eleo’s trial comes complete with all software features. Just one exception – if you would like to use Eleo’s integrated donation forms on your website, you must have an active Eleo subscription.
Can I send Thank Yous and Receipts from Eleo?
Absolutely. Thank you and receipt emails can be automated through online donation pages or created through Eleo’s Mailing Module.
Do you have an events module?
Yes! Eleo’s donor software for nonprofits comes complete with an Events Module and integrated Event Registration Form. Within each event you can track fundraising activities, expenses, mailings, groupings and more.
Can I track volunteers?
Yes! Our Volunteers Module gives you all the tools you need to track volunteers. You can create volunteer opportunities, assign volunteer jobs and record volunteer hours.
Can I manage my memberships?
Yes, within the Membership Module you can create multiple membership types, create online sign up forms, complete payments and renewals, send mailings and more.
Does Eleo track tributes, memorials and honorees?
Yes! Eleo will track all your tributes, memorials and honorees. Acknowledgements are identified and may be sent to the donor as well as the recipient of the tribute.
What kind of reports does the software have?
Eleo comes equipped with a wide variety of reports for contacts, gifts, donors, pledges, grants, memberships, volunteers, events and more. Furthermore, all reports can be customized to your specifications. Don’t see the report you need? Eleo also comes equipped with a Custom Report Writer that allows you to create your own reports.
Can Eleo process gifts paid via credit card?
Yes, you are able to process credit card payments using Eleo. Eleo integrates with two different payment processors – Stripe and Braintree (a PayPal service). Each Eleo client sets up a merchant account with their chosen payment processor. Eleo does not charge any additional fee for credit card processing. All credit card fees are between you and your credit card merchant.
Can Eleo’s online forms live on our website?
Yes, they can. Eleo’s Web Forms link to your website or any online platform of your choosing. Forms are offered as standalone pages or in an embedded format. Choose from Event Registration Pages, Donation Pages, Membership Sign Up Forms, and Contact Forms to allow your donors to engage with you easily online.
Does Eleo offer online event registration forms?
Yes, within Eleo’s Web Form Module, you will find Event Registration Forms. These forms are completely customizable to your organization. They even send automatic confirmations and thank yous!
Does Eleo offer online donation pages?
Yes, within Eleo’s Web Form Module, you will find Donation Pages. These forms are completely customizable to your organization. They even send automatic confirmations and thank yous!
Can I process international donations using Eleo’s donation forms?
Eleo’s donation forms only process donations from supporters with US addresses, at this time.
Does Eleo offer online membership registration?
Yes, Eleo offers New Membership Sign Up via online forms.
Does Eleo offer online membership renewal?
No, Eleo does not offer online membership renewal, at this time.
Does Eleo offer a Membership Portal where members can login?
No, Eleo does not have a membership portal where donors can login to view their member details.
Does Eleo offer online volunteer registration forms?
Yes, within Eleo’s Web Form Module, you will find Contact Forms. Contact forms can be used for a myriad of things, from Volunteer Registration to Contact Interest Forms. These forms are completely customizable to your organization. Our automatic confirmations, ensures that your prospects know their information was received.
Does Eleo offer online volunteer hour entry forms?
No, at this time, volunteer hours cannot be entered by your volunteers. Hours must be entered by an Eleo user.
Can I record contact information from other countries?
Yes. However, this action must be done by adding custom fields in your database and can only be used for informational purposes. International addresses do not pull into Eleo’s mailing system.
Can I email directly from Eleo?
Yes, individual emails are able to be sent directly from a supporter’s contact record. These emails are recorded in the history tab of the contact record. For bulk email sends, your nonprofit will need to utilize Eleo’s integrations with Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
Does your calendar sync externally?
Yes! Eleo’s Task and Calendar feature (our mini project manager) links with Google Calendar. You may export all of your tasks in Eleo to your Google account.
Do you have recurring donations?
Yes! If you choose Stripe or Braintree Payments as your payment processor, recurring gifts are available to you on Eleo Web Forms.
Do you have crowdfunding and peer-to-peer?
No. Eleo software does not currently support crowdfunding or peer-to-peer.
Am I able to set up task reminders/calendar alerts in Eleo?
Absolutely! When logging into your Eleo database, you will be prompted with a reminder pop-up; this will show you what’s going on and when. If you’d like to receive reminders on external devices, you simply link your Eleo Task Manager to Google Calendar. Use the notification features in Google to set up your reminders to your phone, your tablet or any other device!
Can I customize the software to fit my organization’s needs?

How many contacts can I enter into the software?
There is no limit to the number of contacts you may enter into the software. Eleo grows with your nonprofit.
How do I export my data?
Data can be directly exported from Eleo in PDF, Excel and CSV format.
Is there a long-term contract?
NO contracts! Eleo is a month to month subscription, making it easy for small nonprofits with tight budgets to hop on Eleo affordably.
Is there a limit to the number of users who can access Eleo?
Eleo allows UNLIMITED users. You may have as many users in the software as your organization needs, no restrictions, no hidden fees. Need to have multiple people in the database at once? Not an issue! Eleo is a multi-user software, meaning all users can be in the database at the same time.
Can user rights and permissions be determined in Eleo?
Yes. You can define specific user roles with limited access to the system. User rights define what a user may add, edit, view and delete in all areas of the database. You can create unlimited user roles.
Are you PCI compliant?
Eleo is cloud based software residing on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform. Both Microsoft Azure and Eleo’s integrated payment processors are PCI compliant.
Who owns the data my organization enters into Eleo Online Donor Management Software?

Will you contact my donors or share my donor information?
Never. The data your organization enters and maintains in Eleo is solely owned by you. Community Software Solutions, CSS, creator of Eleo Online Donor Management Software, claims no rights to the data of your organization. Is my data backed up and secured?
Yes, all data you enter and save into Eleo is backed up on a regular basis and stored off-site at multiple geographic locations on Microsoft Azure’s cloud services. Click here to learn more about Eleo’s Security Features.
What if there is a fire or disaster at your offices?
Eleo Online Donor Management Software and your data are stored and operated in Microsoft’s Azure cloud services. Their Data Center is external to our offices. And is physically constructed, managed, and monitored to shelter data from unauthorized access, as well as environmental threats.

How do I cancel my account with Eleo?
To cancel your Eleo account, please email [email protected]. You will receive an automated message from our Support Team explaining next steps. If you do not receive this message, please call us at 844-676-3536 and asked to be transferred to Billing.
