In 2025, 573 abused and/or neglected children were assigned to our program. We were able to appoint volunteer advocates to half of these cases, and are always trying to recruit new advocates. We trained 23 new volunteers in 2025 and have 22 so far in 2026, with one more training course in October! Fundraising is essential to all that we do with our staff of 10 and 88 active volunteers. Children are pulled into the chaos and confusion inflicted by their parents who are struggling with many things from substance misuse, mental illness and domestic violence. We provide stability and consistency and have for more than 80 cases this year!

Last year, CLCM was awarded a $10,000 grant to hire consultants to assist us with fundraising and development work. These consulting sessions have been occurring through the spring and summer, and we’ve been able to develop strategies for donor cultivation and connection. We’re celebrating this new-found expertise in outreach to our supporters.

Nutley Family Service Bureau is proud to celebrate the more than 600 dedicated volunteers whose generosity and commitment make a lasting impact on our community. Through their work in our Food Pantry and award-winning Thrift Shop—which generates more than $500,000 annually to fund our programs—they help provide food assistance, mental health services, case management, and other essential resources to more than 1,000 individuals and families each year. Many of these volunteers are our neighbors, friends, and local business owners who choose to give back because they believe in strengthening the Nutley community. Their compassion, hard work, and unwavering dedication are the driving force behind our mission, making it possible for Nutley Family Service Bureau to live out its promise of Neighbors Helping Neighbors every day.

What began as a simple request for Christmas assistance became a powerful testimony of generational transformation. Six years ago, Graces of Gurley met a family trapped in addiction, trauma, and broken relationships. Through a combination of youth mentoring, counseling, practical support, a welcoming church community, and the hope of the Gospel, God began changing one life after another. Today, three adults have overcome addiction, accepted Christ, and rebuilt their lives. Two families have been reunited in safe, restored homes, one family member is preparing to become a recovery counselor to help others, and the next generation is growing up surrounded by mentors, faith, and stability instead of chaos. What started with meeting an immediate need has become a lasting legacy of restoration, demonstrating the life-changing impact of Christ-centered relationships and a community committed to walking alongside families for the long haul. God is the Super Hero. We are just his hands and feet in the flesh working to glorify Him!

The Orchard at Altapass is a living cultural and environmental heritage center serving a five-county region of the southern Appalachian Mountains. Guided by our motto, Saving the Good Stuff, we preserve heirloom apple varieties, steward mountain land, protect native wildlife, and sustain Appalachian cultural traditions through public engagement.

This year, Suited for Change is celebrating exciting momentum—both in the number of women we’re reaching and, in the community, rallying behind our mission. In 2025, we served 1,123 women through professional suiting, career coaching, and workforce development workshops. As of early August 2026, we have already served 848 women, putting us on pace to surpass last year’s impact. At the same time, our community of supporters continues to grow: 68 donors have made their first gift to Suited for Change this year, building on the 111 new donors we welcomed in 2025. To us, these numbers represent so much more than growth. They represent women gaining the confidence and tools to pursue new opportunities, and a growing community that believes in their potential. Together, we’re opening doors, strengthening pathways to economic independence, and helping more women move from confidence to career.

The Manassas Symphony Orchestra received the Agnes Colgan Award for Arts and Education from the Prince William Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious award recognized the symphony for our contribution to the cultural life of our community by providing affordable concerts, free tickets for children, first responders, active and retired military, free master classes for music students, and opportunities for local musicians to perform in a professional concert hall.

We are celebrating the ways the UNPACKIN’ it community of sports fans continues to be positively impacted by the ministry’s content and events, emphasizing our mission to challenge, encourage, and inspire sports fans to follow Jesus and become more like Him. The testimonies shared have profound meaning to the work UNPACKIN’ it Ministries does each day, and we are very grateful for the opportunity to help make an eternal difference in the lives of sports fans.

We’re celebrating a growing shift in how Honolulu thinks about trees. 🌳 In the past six months, Trees for Honolulu’s Future has helped elevate trees from “nice to have” to essential infrastructure — through media, community outreach, and collaboration with government and other partners. Our work has generated significant public attention, including a Honolulu Star-Advertiser commentary making the case that trees are essential to a healthy, resilient city, along with television coverage highlighting shade trees for schools and the importance of tree safety. We’re proud to be helping build momentum for greater investment in urban forests on our home island and beyond.

The Chaco Culture Conservancy has recently received a grant to help strengthen our internal structure with strategic planning and development. We are excited to create more scaffolding for our board of directors, staff, and partners so that donor contributions can go further and make more impact!

QUAD Inc. celebrated its 50-year anniversary of providing barrier-free housing and supportive services to individuals living with physical disabilities throughout Portland, Oregon. We look forward to another 50 years serving Portland’s disability community!

HMCHA is 20! As we celebrate 20 years of child sponsorship and community projects, our 138 sponsored children are succeeding beyond our wildest expectations. Some have finished college, others worked hard to do well in national exams. The photo you see is the latest group of single women who participated in training to start their own businesses, on the road to better lives. In the photo they’re holding their savings account books; pride on their faces as they plan for the future.

From Capitol Hill to Tennessee, Connect Our Kids is transforming foster care. Connect Our Kids has had a standout year! Our CEO and Co‑Founder, Dr. Jennifer Jacobs, was invited to give expert testimony before Congress during the House Ways and Means Subcommittee’s hearing on innovation in child welfare, where she discussed the role that technology can play in improving outcomes for children in foster care. We were also selected as one of six organizations for Every Child TN’s Reconstruct Thriving Youth Challenge, receiving $100,000 to pilot our tools in Tennessee and help build stronger support networks for the 800 youth in the state who age out of care each year. And across the country, our technology has now supported more than 30,000 children and youth and their families. With each milestone, we’re getting closer to a future where every child in foster care stays connected to the people who love them.

Success is measured in different ways- as a non profit organization getting close to 30 (28 years old this year), Special Strides has weathered many storms and that alone is success. Special Strides now serves over 150 clients annually with our 17 specially trained horses. Success is also community building through events (recent golf outing and summer concert) and meeting fundraising goals with grant awards and donor stewardship. But truly success is measured with the smiles and goals met by our clients who overcome obstacles every day and thrive in the world we create together.

The all-volunteer Empire Ranch Foundation has worked to preserve and protect the historic Empire Ranch headquarters in Sonoita, Arizona for nearly 30 years. The ranch was established in 1876 and grew to be one of the largest and most important cattle ranches in southern Arizona. Thanks to ongoing donations, grants, and sponsorships, the Empire Ranch is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2026!
