Practical tips to be stress-free during the holidays: Part 2 [Video]

By December 6, 2016July 2nd, 2018Nonprofit News

The holiday season is a wonderful time to visit with loved ones and reflect on memories from the previous year. However, for many in the nonprofit community, end-of-the-year donations and organizing holiday fundraisers  makes for a busy time. To keep your holidays stress-free, here are a couple more practical tips you might want to consider:

First, find a few moments a day to decompress. Whether you sit back and crank up some tunes or take a chilly, beautiful walk in nature, just remember to take time for yourself. You won’t be able to both roast this year’s turkey and send out donor thank-you letters if you are too stressed to even think straight. Take a step back, breathe, and then continue.

Next, mix up your holiday traditions if they’re just causing more stress in your family’s life. It could be the perfect time to make new memories and start new traditions you may enjoy for years to come.
